Co-working space provider WeWork is exploring the idea of leasing retail space, according to The Real Deal. Applying the firm's model — furnished spaces on short-term leases — would be a logical extension of its existing business, sources told the publication.
Some chains may be shrinking their stores or closing unprofitable locations. But not every retailer is on a diet, reports Bloomberg. Five Below, the teen retailer that sells item priced at $5, is growing fast, reporting an almost 6 percent increase in its store space during the third quarter.
