NYDM preview: Neighborhood Goods offers new take on department store

The retailer's first store — a 14,000-square-foot space at Plano, Texas’s Legacy West —sells a variety of brands of apparel, skin care products, home decor, gadgets, and more. For a fee, these brands get space in the store as well as sales staff, marketing, and retail design. The roster of brands represented in the store will revolve. Neighborhood Goods’ brand partners include Allswell bedding, Draper James apparel, MeUndies lingerie, Primary children’s apparel and Stadium Goods sneakers.

Retail sales surged 6.2 percent last week: Report

Same-store sales at U.S. retailers grew by 6.2 percent for the week ended Nov. 17 , according to Econoday's Redbook. This is one-tenth of a percentage point higher than the previous week's rate, and one-tenth of a percentage point short of the 2018 high.
