In the pipeline: Who’s building what where

Dublin, Calif.
The Dublin City Council approved a new Ikea store. The 317,000-square-foot store will anchor a retail center called The Glen at Dublin that includes an additional 93,000 square feet for smaller tenants. The Independent

San Ramon, Calif.
A $300-million, 200-square-foot retail center opened at Sunset Development’s Bishop Ranch. Designed by famed architect Renzo Piano, the center is anchored by a high-end movie theater and will see Equinox, Pottery Barn and West Elm open later this year.  A food court called The Lot serves hungry office workers from the Chevron, IBM and SAP office located in the office component of Bishop Ranch. Atlanta
Edens and Crescent Communities will develop Novel Upper West Side, in Atlanta. The mixed-use project will include 345 apartments occupying 300,000 square feet and 15,000 square feet of retail. The project is adjacent to an existing Publix-anchored center developed by Edens. Curbed Atlanta

Lancaster, Pa.
Reel Cinemas will join High Real Estate Group’s The Crossings at Conestoga Creek, building a 24,000-square-foot theater at the $120 million mixed-use center. The project’s Wegmans anchor opened in September. Miller’s Ale House opened in October. Lancaster Online

Cheektowaga, N.Y.
Benderson Development plans to convert a former Kmart store into a four-building shopping center integrating an existing pad restaurant. Cheektowaga Chronicle

Hamilton, Ohio
The former Hamilton West Shopping Center will become a mixed-use complex with street-level retail under offices and residences, adjacent to a self-storage facility. The center’s new owner, Construction Design Management, bought the property for$2.3 million. Journal News

Union Row, Memphis, Tenn.

Memphis, Tenn.
A proposed $950 million mixed-use project called Union Row is proposed for downtown. Developers plan to build 85,000 square feet of retail space in the first phase, including about 30,000 square feet for a supermarket. The build-out of all three phases would encompass 126,100 square feet of retail. Daily Memphian

Amarillo, Texas
McCartt & Associates will transform the former Levine’s Department Store downtown into eight spaces for pop-up retail tenants. KFDA
