Horizon starts site work for E. Hartford outlets

Horizon Group Properties began construction activity Dec. 3 for its 440,000-sf Outlet Shoppes at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn. Tanger buys land, starts construction on Daytona outlets

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers acquired the 39-acre parcel for its Tanger Outlets Daytona Beach project for $9.7 million in mid-November and commenced construction immediately. Genesco to buy Little Burgundy

Footwear, headwear and fashion accessories retailer Genesco plans to acquire Little Burgundy, a 37-store Canadian footwear chain, from Aldo Group. Empire Outlets to feature artisanal food market

Developer BFC Partners has contracted with the management of Manhattan's Gansevoort Market to operate a food market in the 350,000-sf Empire Outlets on Staten Island, which has a targeted opening in 2017. London Designer Outlet at Wembley Park in London, a Quintain property managed by Realm, has seen more than 6.5 million visitors in 2015, a 24 percent gain over 2014.
