Outlet chains honored at VRN Fall Outlet Convention

More than 360 outlet industry professionals – developers, landlords, brokers and at least 130 retailers – gathered on Sept. 29 and 30 at the VRN Fall Outlet Convention in Secaucus, N.J. Tucson Premium Outlets opens

Simon today opened the 366,000-sf Tucson Premium Outlets in Marana, Ariz., with about 60 retailers doing business and another 30 soon to come. The site is off Interstate 10 at West Twin Peaks Road, about 12 miles north of downtown Tucson. IvanhoƩ breaks ground on Winnipeg outlets

Ivanhoé Cambridge and two JV partners broke ground Sept. 25 on Outlet Collection Winnipeg (Manitoba), a $200 million project with a targeted opening in May 2017. Ivanhoé is the majority partner on the 400,000-sf project, with support from real estate asset manager Harvard Development and developer Forster Projects, both based in Regina, Saskatchewan. Ontario Mills renovation to add Uniqlo, North Face, 10 other stores in 2016

The Mills division of Simon is repurposing a section of Ontario (Calif.) Mills and adding some space to accommodate a dozen new tenants including The North Face and Uniqlo. Second J.Crew Mercantile: Gainesville, Va.

J.Crew will open the second of its J.Crew Mercantile formats prior to Black Friday, this store to be in the Promenade at Virginia Gateway in Gainesville, Va. The site is a 300,000-sf suburban lifestyle center operated by Peterson Cos. on Interstate 66 about 20 minutes west of the D.C. Beltway. Neinver opens Factory Warsaw Ursus expansion

Factory Ursus in Warsaw, Poland's first outlet center and Neinver's first FOC outside of Spain, is now the largest outlet center in that country. On Sept. 15 Neinver opened a 6,200-m2 expansion, which brings the 13-year-old center to 19,700 m2. Prague Outlet gets direct airport-highway exit ramp

Prague Outlet is getting ready for its close-up with interior renovations, fresh landscaping and the convenience feature of a new ramp for direct access to the main entrance of Vaclav Havel Airport Prague.
