MCG readies phase 2 expansion of Designer Outlet Neumünster

McArthurGlen will open a 7,000-m2 phase 2 expansion of Designer Outlet Neumünster on Sept. 24. The expansion will accommodate about 35 new retailers. Simon settles on site for Tulsa Premium Outlets

Simon identified a site in Jenks, Okla., just south of Tulsa, for its planned 325,000-sf Tulsa Premium Outlets. The site is along the south side of the Creek Turnpike (Highway 364) at the Arkansas River crossing. Simon had originally eyed a site in West Tulsa about four miles north of Jenks. Quiksilver enters Chapter 11, will close 16 outlet stores

Surfwear brand Quiksilver, which operates 47 outlet stores in the U.S., will close nine Quiksilver and seven DC Shoe outlet stores as it goes forward in bankruptcy. Chief creditor Oaktree Capital assumes ownership of the company as part of the Chapter 11 restructuring. Larry Phillips, PVH chairman & outlet champion, dies

Lawrence S. (Larry) Phillips, the former chairman and CEO of the Phillips-Van Heusen apparel company, died Sept. 11 at his home in Florida. Phillips was inducted into the Outlet Hall of Fame in 2008. DTZ/Cushman & Wakefield is handling the sale of two outlet centers in Northern Ireland, Junction One in Antrim and Outlet Village Banbridge.
