Brown Shoe changes its name to Caleres

Brown Shoe, the parent company of Famous Footwear and Factory Brand Shoes, changed its name to Caleres on May 28. The St. Louis-based manufacturer, founded in 1878, opened its first factory stores in 1960. Li & Fung to source brands for new Chinese retailers

Blackstone-Multi buys Palmanova Outlet Village

Blackstone has acquired Palmanova Outlet Village in Udine, Italy, from developer Promos, which opened the 236,806-sf center in May 2008. The acquisition was made through the Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe IV fund; the companies did not disclose the price. MCG starts phase 2 expansion on Serravalle

McArthurGlen has initiated a €115 million phase 5 expansion of its Designer Outlet Serravalle, at 418,700 sf already one of the largest Italian outlet centers.
