New England Development opens Asheville Outlets

New England Development tonight will celebrate the grand opening of Asheville (N.C.) Outlets with a its Open Doors Open Hearts Charity Preview Night. The world’s 35 largest outlet centers – those that are 500,000 sf or bigger – are mostly found in North America. Twenty-five of the world’s largest are in the U.S., and three are in Canada. Tanger readies for the May 21 Foxwoods opening

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers is in final preparations for its May 21 opening of the 314,000-sf Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., which is owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Nebraska Crossing 100 percent leased, plans expansion

Owner-operator OTB Destination has reached the 100 percent leased mark for Nebraska Crossing Outlets in Gretna, with the signing of three new tenants. The Fragrance Outlet targeted a May opening; Express Factory Outlet is due to open in July, and The North Face is to debut in August. The 315,000-sf center opened in November 2013. Authentic Brands buys Jones NY, taps Mark Weber

Authentic Brands Group has acquired the Jones New York brand for an undisclosed sum from Sycamore Partners. ABG named Mark Weber strategic advisor for the brand. Weber's record includes eight years as CEO of luxury brand house LVMH and a stint as president and CEO of PVH. Horizon refinances three outlet centers

Horizon Group Properties has refinanced a loan secured by three outlet centers: The Outlet Shoppes at Burlington, Wash., The Outlet Shoppes at Fremont, Ind., and The Outlet Shoppes at Oshkosh, Wis. Simon opens outlet expansions in Japan, S. Korea

Simon opened a 136,000-sf expansion at Shisui Premium Outlets on April 17, adding 62 new stores to the center.
