By the Numbers

The world’s 35 largest outlet centers – those that are 500,000 sf or bigger – are mostly found in North America. Twenty-five of the world’s largest are in the U.S., and three are in Canada. Gap, Nike to anchor outlets at Resorts World Birmingham

Gap Outlet and Nike Factory will be among the key tenants at Designer Outlet at the NEC in Birmingham, England. Leasing agency Realm arranged the transactions. French fashion brand The Kooples opened its first outlet store on Dec. 6, a 1,570-sf space in Zweibrücken (Germany) The Style Outlets, owned and operated by Neinver. Pyramid adds tenants to Destiny USA

Newly opened stores at Destiny USA in Syracuse, N.Y., include Flormar, a European-based cosmetics retailer, Jared, Michael’s, Microsoft Store, University Sport Shop and VF Outlet. Tanger drops out of Cheshire, Conn., outlet project

WS Development is going it alone on the Cheshire, Conn., outlet center project it had previously promoted with partner Tanger Factory Outlet Centers as The Outlets at Cheshire.
