Outlet centers plan early Thanksgiving openings

Midnight Madness and Black Friday are starting even earlier this year at certain major outlet centers. The world’s 35 largest outlet centers – those that are 500,000 sf or bigger – are mostly found in North America. Twenty-five of the world’s largest are in the U.S., and three are in Canada. Tanger expansions open in time for the holidays

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers has opened three expansions to existing projects in time for the holidays: The 153,000-sf expansion of Tanger Outlets Cookstown (Ont.) opened on Nov. 7, nearly doubling the center to 309,000 sf. Abacus selling Birkenhead center to Mirvac Group

Abacus Property Group has entered into an agreement to sell Birkenhead Point Outlet Centre and Marina in Sydney, Australia to Mirvac Group for $270 million.
