AWE Talisman and Macerich have appointed the management team for Fashion Outlets of Chicago, which will open in Rosemont, Ill., on Aug. 1. Louisiana center gets new owner, direction

Garrison Investment Group of New York acquired Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City, La., for $67.6 million on March 18. The purchase ends the property’s foreclosure, which began in 2011 when its original developer, O&S Holdings, defaulted on a $128 million loan. Second outlet center planned in Clarksburg, Md.

Clarksburg, Md., is the nation’s newest outlet-center battleground now that two outlet JVs have chosen sites close to each other in the 250-year-old town. Silk Road names new outlet sites in China

Silk Road Holdings has acquired its latest outlet site in China in the Pudong New District of Shanghai between China’s first Disneyland, to open at the end of 2015, and the Pudong International Airport. The world’s 35 largest outlet centers – those that are 500,000 sf or bigger – are mostly found in North America. Twenty-five of the world’s largest are in the U.S., and three are in Canada.
