Russia’s retailers won the World Cup

Russia may not have won the World Cup, but its retailers, restaurants and bars have.

Bank of America estimates that the influx of international and domestic soccer fans may have spent as much as $5 billion on TVs and food and drink in June and July, Bloomberg reports.

The country spent an estimated $11 billion on preparations for the World Cup, which is held every four years.
