Same-store sales at U.S. retailers grew by 6.2 percent for the week ended Nov. 17, according to Econoday's Redbook. This is one-tenth of a percentage point higher than the previous week's rate and one-tenth of a percentage point short of the 2018 high.
Month-to-date sales against the previous month were up by 0.2 percent. Consumers are in a mood to spend, and same-store year-on-year sales growth remains exceptionally strong, according to the firm.
