McArthurGlen announces Designer Outlet Cannock

February 22, 2018

McArthurGlen Group said that it is developing a new designer outlet in Cannock, 30 minutes from Birmingham, United Kingdom.

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cannock, featuring 26,500 square meters of gross leasable area across two phases, is a £160 million joint venture with U+I, Rioja Developments Limited, Aviva Investors and The Richardson Family. The opening is planned for 2020.

The project will be developed and built by McArthurGlen, U+I and Rioja Developments, and once it is completed, McArthurGlen will manage the center.

“We are delighted to announce what will be the group’s 26th center and our seventh in the U.K.,” said Gary Bond, joint managing director of development at McArthurGlen. “The new center will sit within a rapidly growing portfolio which currently has an active development pipeline of 150,000 square meters.”

Phase one will feature over 80 stores plus restaurants and cafes, a children’s play area and 1,400 parking spaces.
