Simi Valley, Calif.
Griffin Living, a California-based firm that develops and manages senior-living communities, has broken ground on VivaBella Simi Valley, an assisted-living and memory-care community. The project is unique among senior-living communities, being integrated into a shopping center. The 97,000-square-foot VivaBella will include about 100 residential units. The Griffin Plaza shopping center will consist of 93,000 square feet of retail space and some 20 retail tenants. The completion date for the entire development is late 2019. EIN Newsdesk

The City Council voted unanimously to allow Stockdale Capital Partners to convert downtown’s Horton Plaza into The Campus at Horton, a mixed-use development that will relocate all shops to the ground floor, reducing the retail space by half, from 600,000 square feet to 300,000, and adding on 772,000 square feet of office space.
