In the pipeline: Who’s building what, where

Lookout Mountain, Ga.
The city of Lookout Mountain is planning to build a $3 million town center that will include City Hall, a fire station and a police headquarters, along with retail and public space. Times Free Press

Statesboro, Ga.
Aldi will build a 19,000-square-foot store at Statesboro Crossing, and Publix is looking at opening a store near the planned Tormenta FC stadium. Statesboro Herald

Mount Sinai, N.Y.
Basser-Kaufman has plans to develop the Mount Sinai Meadows, a mixed-use center with 185,000 square feet of retail, a 3,000-square-foot bank and about 37,000 square feet of offices. Greater Port Jeff

Riverhead, N.Y.
Developers are building the 60,000-square-foot Garsten Retail Center, a complex of five retail buildings to range in size from 10,000 to 15,000 square feet. Riverhead News-Review

Lakewood, N.J.
Developers are building The Avenue Shoppes, a 68,000-square-foot center with Cafotteria, Hosiery Plus and MS Optical among the tenants. Asbury Park Press

Middletown, N.J.
National Realty & Development intends to build the Shoppes at Middletown, a 342,000-square-foot retail center, with a Wegmans supermarket and a CMX cinema as anchors. Asbury Park Press

North Charleston, S.C.
Seritage Growth Properties says it will convert a former Sears Auto Center space at Northwoods Mall into a 7,300-square-foot Bahama Breeze Island Grill restaurant. The Post and Courier

Houston
The Platform Investment Group is developing an upscale mixed-use development at 2132 Bissonnet St. that is nearing completion, with a café-bar called Tropicales set to open May 5 as the project's first tenant. Houston Chronicle
