Santa Barbara, Calif.
Pacific Retail Partners is renovating its Paseo Nuevo Mall. A new center court area, fire pits, an electric-vehicle charging station and water feature are all in the planning. KYET

Santa Clarita, Calif.
Westfield Valencia Town Center intends to spend some $100 million to convert a former Sears into a multitenant center called The Patios Connection. The project plans include Santa Clarita’s first luxury cinema, a health-and-fitness center, additional specialty shops and the city’s second Costco. KHTS

Naples, Fla.
CMX Cinébistro will move into the former Sears store at Coastland Center mall as part of a redevelopment that also includes a new facade and entrance plaza, plus more restaurants, a bank and new landscaping. Naples Daily News

White Township, Ind.
Kohl’s will be moving into a subdivided former Sears anchor store at Indiana Mall. Indiana Gazette

Morton Grove, Ill.
Kensington Development Partners and IM Properties plan to spend $135 million to redevelop the former Prairie View Shopping Center as a mixed-use center with a Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, a Flix Brewhouse, a Kohl’s, an LA Fitness Signature Club, a grocery store, about 250 luxury apartments and more. Bowling Green, Ky.
Local operators are to open a Burger & Bowl restaurant and a Café Dolce at The Icon, a 50,000-square-foot, mixed-use development currently under construction. The project will also include a clothing store, a yoga studio, some offices and nearly a dozen condominiums. Bowling Green Daily News

Slidell, La.
Developer Morguard aims to transform the 245,000-square-foot enclosed mall portion of the 600,000-square-foot North Shore Square into an open-air center. Conn’s HomePlus will take over the former Burlington space. The Advocate

Baltimore
Greenberg Gibbons and Seritage Growth Properties will convert the former Sears anchor at Hunt Valley Towne Centre as an open-air center. This is the first phase of a $150 million redevelopment. The Baltimore Sun

Knoxville, Tenn.
Developers broke ground on a $15 million, 24,500-square-foot retail center to be called West Town Crossing. Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill will be among the tenants. The opening is set for 2020. Knoxville News Sentinel
