Sears Holdings announced Thursday that it will close an additional 40 stores, on top of the 142 previously announced closures.
The retailer, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Oct. 15, is seeking operations financing while it tries to find a buyer.
The 40 stores, listed here, are a combination of Sears and Kmart stores. They will close by February, along with any adjacent Sears Auto stores, the company said.
