Outlet Deal Making nears
The outlet industry will meet in Secaucus, N.J., March 13-15 at the Meadowlands Expo Center, a location convenient to many of the industry’s manufacturers who operate outlet stores.
Prime Retail averts bankruptcy
Desperate to fend off creditors, avoid bankruptcy and stabilize itself financially, Prime Retail sells four of its centers for $240 million, closes on a $90 million short-term loan and two mortgages totaling $30 million, and gets two existing mortgages extended.
