The Richard E. Jacobs Group, Cleveland, has promoted Stephen L. Huber, SCSM, to senior vice president. In addition, Executive Vice President Thomas W. Henneberry, who oversees the firm's retail, office and hotel development activities, will handle its architectural design and construction divisions.

Carol L. Kardas has been named vice president of human resources for Konover & Associates, West Hartford, Conn. She most recently served as director of human resources & compensation for Cigna Cos.

Kenneth Fixler

John Donohue has been named vice president of construction for Tucker Development Corp., Chicago. He joined the firm in 1996. The firm also has named Kenneth Fixler vice president of leasing and development.

Steven M. Plenge

Michael A. Twalt

Cincinnati-based Madison Marquette has named Steven M. Plenge vice president/director of West Coast acquisitions, and Michael A. Twalt vice president for West Coast development, based in the firm's Beverly Hills, Calif., office. Prior to joining the firm earlier this year, Plenge had been vice president/managing director at Federal Realty Investment Trust. Tewalt previously served as senior vice president for ERE Yarmouth in Southern California.

Brenda Fort

The L&B Group, Dallas, has promoted Brenda Fort to national leasing manager.

S.R. Weiner and Associates, Chestnut Hill, Mass., has promoted Lee Anne Klemyk to vice president of leasing. She previously held the title of director of leasing. Vincent Cosco has been named general manager of The Meadow Glen Mall, Medford, Mass. He joined the firm as marketing director of the center in 1992, later serving in marketing positions with Weiner's Hanover (Mass.) Mall and The Maine Mall in South Portland, Maine. Edmund D. Callahan has been named general manager of The Hanover Mall. He had served as director of operations for the 750,000-square-foot center.

James Harris

James Harris, CSM, has been appointed general manager for Desert Passage, TrizecHahn Development Corp.'s upcoming retail/entertainment center in Las Vegas. He previously served as general manager of the Downtown Plaza in Sacramento, Calif.

Gloria Mercado

Vineland Construction Co., Vineland, N.J., has named Gloria Mercado director of retail property. In prior posts, Mercado has been a leasing representative for Kranzco Realty Trust, Conshohocken, Pa., and leasing director of Brahin Properties, Philadelphia.

Melody Dowd

Melody Dowd has been promoted to senior vice president of retail services for Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co. She had been vice president of the division. Bill Chalmers and Sighla Finazzo have been promoted to vice president positions in the retail properties division. Both previously served as retail marketing directors. Chalmers joined the firm in 1997, Finazzo in 1998. Lastly, the company has named Dennis M. Kleier retail broker.

Developers Diversified Realty Trust, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, has promoted Dan DiCillo to asset manager, new developments, and Jeffrey R. Mack to asset manager for properties in the Northeast region. The firm also has promoted Sean Caplan to collections manager, and has named Dale Johnson corporate controller. He previously served as vice president and controller for Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises.

Maggie Carrington

CBL & Associates Properties, Chattanooga, Tenn., has promoted John N. Foy to vice chairman of the board and Stephen D. Lebovitz to president. The firm also has named Maggie Carrington director of human resources.

CB Richard Ellis Chairman and CEO Jim Didion will cede the chief executive post to Ray Wirta at the firm's annual meeting this month. Didion will remain chairman, and add the post of senior adviser. Brett White, president of the firm's Brokerage Services division, will assume Wirta's former position as chairman, North America.

Selena Bridges has been appointed convention/tourism consultant and corporate gift certificate sales manager for Cumberland Mall, Atlanta, by Chicago-based General Growth Properties.

Reinhard Lemke

Reinhard Lemke has been named general manager of Wonderland Mall in Livonia, Mich., by Schostak Bros. and Co., Southfield, Mich.

Cary, N.C.-based Konover Property Trust has promoted Connell Radcliff to executive vice president of development; Robin Malphrus, senior vice president, and general counsel; Bruce Anderson, senior vice president of acquisitions; Charlotte Ellis, SCMD, senior vice president of marketing and public relations; Irene Bates, vice president of marketing; Timothy W. Henson, vice president for anchor leasing; Vance Evans, director of outlet leasing; and Dianne Leonard, director of lease administration.

The firm also has promoted Wendi Howell, CLS/CSM, to senior leasing executive, leasing the firm's community centers in North Carolina.

Jon W. Paulson

Jon W. Paulson has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing for Property First Marketplace, an Internet-based commercial real estate database and technology firm in Alhambra, Calif. Prior to joining Property First, Paulson served as senior vice president/national director of the institutional services group for Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co.

Linda E. Rains

Goodman Segar/GVA, Atlanta, has formed a retail services group and named Linda E. Rains as executive director. The new division will provide services to the firm's clients in Atlanta and the Southeast. Rains previously served as senior vice president of the retail services group of Grubb & Ellis, Atlanta, and is chairman of the International Associate of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE) in 1999-2000.

General Growth Properties, Chicago, has named Richard Murphy general manager of Cumberland Mall, Atlanta. He most recently served as general manager of Plaza Frontenac in St. Louis.

Simon Property Group, Indianapolis, has named two executives to the management team at its Mall of Georgia, opening in the summer: Thomas Martin has been named general manager, and Scott Higley, marketing director.

The Macerich Co., Santa Monica, Calif., has appointed Janet C. Fisher vice president of asset management. Fisher previously served as a vice president in the real estate merchant banking group at Wells Fargo Bank, San Francisco.

Pier 39, San Francisco, has named Brenda Taylor human resources director.

Myles Kelley and Claudia Hutchinson have joined Houston-based Moody Rambin Interests, opening the firm's Dallas/Fort Worth office. Kelley and Hutchinson both previously served as senior vice presidents at Grubb & Ellis.

Thomas J. Grisham

RM Crowe Co., Dallas, has named Thomas James Grisham managing director/principal of operations for its 4.5 million-square-foot portfolio of retail and office properties in Texas. He had been managing director of Trammell Crow Dallas/Fort Worth Inc.

Robert F. Welanetz

Robert F. Welanetz, SCSM, has been named president and CEO of Chicago-based LaSalle Partners' new Retail Group. Welanetz will oversee the firm's 36 million-square-foot retail portfolio. He previously served as CEO and executive vice president of Lend Lease Retail, and president of The Yarmouth Group Property Management. LaSalle acquired Lend Lease in October 1998.

Laurinda Stout

Laurinda Stout has been named manager of Vintage Oaks at Novato (Calif.), by the Estate of James Campbell, Honolulu. She previously served as a manager of retail properties for CB Richard Ellis.

Weingarten Realty Investors, Houston, has promoted Johnny Hendrix, formerly vice president/associate director of leasing, to senior vice president/director of asset management. Steve Weingarten, also a vice president /associate director of leasing, has been promoted to senior vice president/director of leasing.

Anthony Viccora has been named vice president of real estate for Frankel's Home Furnishings, a home furnishings specialty chain based in Port Washington, N.Y.

United Commercial Realty, Dallas, has promoted Jack H. Breard III to vice president. He joined the firm in 1992.

Saks Inc., Birmingham, Ala., has named William E. Haslam president of E-strategies (including Internet and other electronic commerce) and special consultant for long-range planning.

R. Scott Petrie, CSM, has been promoted to vice president, retail management of PREIT-Rubin, the management subsidiary of Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, Philadelphia.

The Mills Corp., Arlington, Va., has named Carlos Bernal senior vice president, food and beverage business development.

Dominic J. Petrucci

Koll Development Co., Newport Beach, Calif., has named Dominic J. Petrucci executive vice president and head of its Phoenix division. He previously served as a vice president with Kitchell Development Co. in Phoenix.

David C. LaPee has joined Westin Group-Commercial Real Estate, St. Louis. He had been senior vice president-real estate for Venture Stores.

Federated Department Stores, Cincinnati, has named Arnold Orlick chairman and CEO of Rich's/Lazarus/Goldsmith's. He had been president and COO of the chain. Edwin J. Holman succeeds Orlick. He had been chairman and CEO of Petrie Retail, Secaucus, N.J. Ron Klein has been named chairman and CEO of Stern's, and Peter R. Sachse has been named vice chairman and director of stores at Macy's East, succeeding Klein.

Sabey Corp., Seattle, has named executive vice president Laurent D. Poole COO.

Ronald Berliant, former senior executive of design and construction for General Growth Properties, has joined with The Greeby Cos. President Skip Greeby to form a joint venture to provide design and construction management services to commercial real estate firms. Berliant oversaw the design of an entertainment complex at General Growth's Ala Moana Center in Honolulu; The Greeby Cos. also recently completed tenant coordination for Great Lakes Crossing, Auburn Hills, Mich., for The Taubman Co.

Allyn P. Lean has been named vice president of asset management for Union Development Co., Cerritos, Calif. He had been a consultant with The Curtiss Group International.

Jeff Hegg has been named vice president of the property management division for Welsh Cos., Minneapolis.

Arthur Hill & Co., Denver, has promoted and appointed the following: Thomas A. White, senior vice president; Eugene F. Reardon, vice president, director of finance; Gregory P. Hakanen, vice president for development and leasing; Ruth A. Moschel, director of accounting and administration; and G. Benjamin Ranney, marketing manager.

White, a former senior vice president at Homart Development Co., had overseen Hill's development of Denver Pavilions, a downtown center. Reardon joined Hill in 1988. He previously served as manager of corporate planning at Otis Elevator. Hakanen previously served as an investment real estate broker with Grubb & Ellis and as a project manager for Meridian Business Campus.

In addition to her financial duties, Moschel serves as the citizen and community liaison for Hill's Church Street Plaza project. Ranney's background includes work with urban residential redevelopment projects in Chicago.

Chicago-based Heller Financial has named John Petrovski group president of Heller Real Estate Finance. He previously served the firm as managing director for national structure finance.

Charles W. Perry has established Perry Properties, a Birmingham, Ala., development company. Perry had been a founding partner and president of Stewart & Perry Construction Co., and president of Stewart & Perry Properties.

David M. Brain

Entertainment Properties Trust CFO David M. Brain has added the COO post, as well. Brain joined the entertainment project REIT at its initial public offering in November 1997.

Joseph Aquino

Joseph Aquino has been named a managing director of Garrick-Aug Associates Store Leasing, New York. Aquino joined the firm in 1989, most recently holding the title of director.

Herbert J. Farber & Associates, manager of Penn's Purchase Factory Stores in Lahaska, Pa., has promoted Kurth McLaughlin to vice president of management and operations. His background includes serving as general manager of properties for The Edward J. DeBartolo Corp.

Horizon Group Properties, Chicago., has named Mary L. German creative director of its in-house advertising agency. She previously served as senior graphic designer for Horizon's predecessor firm, Horizon Group.

The Daniel Group, Baltimore, has named Todd Buckstein senior leasing representative. He most recently served with GFS Realty, Washington, D.C.

TheBrian D. Parker

Grubb & Ellis Co., Chicago, has promoted its CFO, Brian D. Parker to executive vice president. He will oversee re-engineering initiatives in the firm's existing lines of business and will chair its operating committee. He joined the firm in 1996 as senior vice president/CFO, after serving with The Balcor Co., an American Express subsidiary, in a similar capacity.

Blair Design & Construction, Dallas, has named James B. Reed vice president of operations and Richard Nelson vice president of construction. Reed will operate out of Ohio, while Nelson will work out of Dallas. The firm is a commercial contractor specializing in new retail projects and movie theaters.
