Developers Diversified Realty Trust, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, has promoted Dan DiCillo to asset manager, new developments, and Jeffrey R. Mack to asset manager for properties in the Northeast region. The firm also has promoted Sean Caplan to collections manager, and has named Dale Johnson corporate controller. He previously served as vice president and controller for Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises.

CB Richard Ellis Chairman and CEO Jim Didion will cede the chief executive post to Ray Wirta at the firm's annual meeting this month. Didion will remain chairman, and add the post of senior adviser. Brett White, president of the firm's Brokerage Services division, will assume Wirta's former position as chairman, North America.

General Growth Properties, Chicago, has named Richard Murphy general manager of Cumberland Mall, Atlanta. He most recently served as general manager of Plaza Frontenac in St. Louis.

 

Simon Property Group, Indianapolis, has named two executives to the management team at its Mall of Georgia, opening in the summer: Thomas Martin has been named general manager, and Scott Higley, marketing director.

 

The Macerich Co., Santa Monica, Calif., has appointed Janet C. Fisher vice president of asset management. Fisher previously served as a vice president in the real estate merchant banking group at Wells Fargo Bank, San Francisco.

Ronald Berliant, former senior executive of design and construction for General Growth Properties, has joined with The Greeby Cos. President Skip Greeby to form a joint venture to provide design and construction management services to commercial real estate firms. Berliant oversaw the design of an entertainment complex at General Growth's Ala Moana Center in Honolulu; The Greeby Cos. also recently completed tenant coordination for Great Lakes Crossing, Auburn Hills, Mich., for The Taubman Co.

Allyn P. Lean has been named vice president of asset management for Union Development Co., Cerritos, Calif. He had been a consultant with The Curtiss Group International.

Arthur Hill & Co., Denver, has promoted and appointed the following: Thomas A. White, senior vice president; Eugene F. Reardon, vice president, director of finance; Gregory P. Hakanen, vice president for development and leasing; Ruth A. Moschel, director of accounting and administration; and G. Benjamin Ranney, marketing manager.

White, a former senior vice president at Homart Development Co., had overseen Hill's development of Denver Pavilions, a downtown center. Reardon joined Hill in 1988. He previously served as manager of corporate planning at Otis Elevator. Hakanen previously served as an investment real estate broker with Grubb & Ellis and as a project manager for Meridian Business Campus.

In addition to her financial duties, Moschel serves as the citizen and community liaison for Hill's Church Street Plaza project. Ranney's background includes work with urban residential redevelopment projects in Chicago.

 

Chicago-based Heller Financial has named John Petrovski group president of Heller Real Estate Finance. He previously served the firm as managing director for national structure finance.

 

Charles W. Perry has established Perry Properties, a Birmingham, Ala., development company. Perry had been a founding partner and president of Stewart & Perry Construction Co., and president of Stewart & Perry Properties.

Grubb & Ellis Co., Chicago, has promoted its CFO, Brian D. Parker to executive vice president. He will oversee re-engineering initiatives in the firm's existing lines of business and will chair its operating committee. He joined the firm in 1996 as senior vice president/CFO, after serving with The Balcor Co., an American Express subsidiary, in a similar capacity.

 

Blair Design & Construction, Dallas, has named James B. Reed vice president of operations and Richard Nelson vice president of construction. Reed will operate out of Ohio, while Nelson will work out of Dallas. The firm is a commercial contractor specializing in new retail projects and movie theaters.
