MANAGEMENT BRIEFS

Collier Turley Martin, F.C. Tucker merge

INDIANAPOLIS -- Collier Turley Martin and F.C. Tucker Co.'s real estate services division have merged. The deal will help create a dominant Midwest-based commercial real estate firm, officials said.

The two firms' combined operations will exceed a closed annual transaction volume of $825 million; manage more than 25 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties; and employ approximately 500 people.

The companies operate offices in Indianapolis, Kansas City, Mo., Nashville, Tenn., and St. Louis.

Terms of the transaction, expected at presstime to close in late April, were not disclosed.

Collier Turley Martin, founded in Kansas City in 1926, has become one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the Midwest. During the past three years, the company has merged with two firms in Kansas City -- Zimmer-Steinbach and Kerr & Co. -- and joined forces with a Nashville firm, Frank L. Smith Co.

F.C. Tucker started its commercial division in the 1960s and has become the largest third-party commercial real estate firm in Indiana. The merger will not affect Tucker's Residential Real Estate Services division of its affiliated companies.
