The Macerich Co. appointed Michael Guerin, CSM, to the multiple roles of property manager and leasing representative for La Cumbre Plaza, Santa Barbara, Calif., as well as leasing rep for Pacific View Mall, Ventura, Calif. He was senior manager of Macerich’s Santa Monica (Calif.) Place. Meanwhile, Alice Love, SCMD, added the post of marketing manager for La Cumbre Plaza to her responsibilities as marketing manager for Pacific View Mall. Macerich also named Andrea Taylor marketing manager of Valley View Center, Dallas. She was marketing manager of Northwest Arkansas Mall, Fayetteville, Ark. Bridget Elkins succeeds Taylor there, rising from assistant marketing manager to marketing manager.

Jeffrey Harrison joins Weingarten Realty Investors as vice president and regional director of leasing. He was senior vice president and director of leasing at The Weitzman Group, Dallas.

The Mills Corp. hired Kimra Perkins as general manager and Carol Winiger as marketing director of Colorado Mills, Lakewood, Colo. Perkins was senior vice president and regional manager of the retail division at Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle. Winiger was regional director of marketing at TrizecHahn, where she oversaw the area from Seattle east to Chicago.

John McGill, who ran Moreland Hills, Ohio-based development company Heritage Development Co. with longtime partner Bert (Bat) Wolstein, launched McGill Property Group, in Solon, Ohio. McGill completed the acquisitions of a majority of Heritage’s mixed-use and retail real estate assets recently, before forming McGill Property. McGill formed Heritage Development in 1997, two years after Wolstein, who died earlier this year, founded the company. Before that, he was vice president of development at Developers Diversified Realty, which he joined in 1969.

Dennis Borowsky, CLS, joined Calabasas Hills, Calif.-based Westrust, a develoment, leasing and management firm, as director of leasing. Borowsky was a partner at Urban Street Advisors, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based retail brokerage.

San Diego-based Sudberry Properties recruited Richard H. Simons as partner and principal. Simons was senior vice president of Legacy Partners Commercial, a San Diego-based development firm, where he oversaw Southern California operations.

Houston-based NewQuest Properties named René Joubert president and CEO. Joubert was executive vice president and senior managing director of Minneapolis-based Northmarq Capital.

Pier 39 L.P., San Francisco, hired Arianne Bautista as public relations and production manager for Pier 39, a retail-entertainment center on San Francisco Bay. Bautista was a public relations agent for Alameda, Calif.-based Engage PR.

Stephen B. Hurwitz joined Peebles Department Stores, South Hill, Va., as regional director of real estate. He was vice president of real estate at Julian Enterprises, a West Haven, Conn.-based development firm.

Nancy McCune is the new director of property management at Dunton Commercial Real Estate, Denver. She joins the firm from Grubb & Ellis Management Services, where she was portfolio manager.

Raul Anziani joined San Francisco-based Field Paoli Architects as director of retail projects. Anziani was a project director for Alameda, Calif.-based MBH Architects.

Noreen Ehrlich joined New York City-based development firm Thor Equities as CFO and executive vice president. Ehrlich was CFO of Aetos Capital Asia Fund, an investment fund focused on the Japanese market.

Taubman Centers hired Meredith Burris Keeler as marketing director for the Northlake Mall, in Charlotte, N.C. Keeler was marketing director for General Growth’s Carolina Place Mall, in Pineville, N.C.

Pennsylvania REIT recruited William King as a senior leasing representative for properties in its Northern and Western regions. King was most recently a leasing manager at Westfield Corp.

Encino, Calif.-based Hager Pacific Properties, a private real estate investment company, hired David Richmond, SCSM, as general manager of Baldwin Hills (Calif.) Crenshaw Plaza. Richmond was senior asset manager for Goodman Realty Co., Albuquerque, N.M., a leasing and property management company.

David Zoba joined Indianapolis-based Premier Properties as president and COO. Zoba was executive vice president and general counsel of Plainfield, Ind.-based Galyan's Trading Company.

William H. Westhafer joined Cubellis Associates, a Northville,

Mich.-based architecture and design services firm as a principal in its Philadelphia office. Westhafer was a principal and shareholder at Cathers & Associates, a Malvern, Pa.-based architectural firm.

Sarah Opila joined the Boston office of Fort Worth, Texas-based architecture firm Carter & Burgess as project manager in its retail division. Opila was a store designer in the store planning and design department for Hingham, Mass.-based Talbots.

Chicago-based Northern Realty Group, which provides leasing and retail development services, recruited Joseph Grody as senior retail associate. Grody was senior associate for the Addison, Texas-based Staubach Co.

Denver-based Dunton Commercial Real Estate hired Daniel Oh as a senior broker. Oh was a broker for the Cincinnati-based Re/Max Unlimited, a brokerage firm.

New York City-based PBS Realty Advisors hired Jack W. Drapacz as director and general counsel. Drapacz was president of Global Brand Advisors, a New York City-based retail consulting firm.

Ann Taylor Stores promoted Kay Krill to president. Krill most recently served as president of the retailer’s Loft division, the company’s star performer for the past 19 months. The retailer’s board is hoping Krill can rejuvenate the beleaguered Ann Taylor division, says CIBC World Markets analyst Dorothy Lakner.
