I am writing to point out a mischaracterization in Jon Springer’s
piece, “The Harder Side of Sears,” in the October
issue. Mr. Springer termed me as “skeptical” regarding
Sears’ reinvention.
In fact, if there is one attitude that I’m not about
Sears’ future, it’s skeptical. Simon Property
Group is extremely confident in Sears’ ability to accomplish
their objectives, and we look forward to working with them
to make it happen.
