The family of John Price, former chairman and CEO of JP Realty, erected the Price Family Holocaust Memorial Garden and Exhibition in Salt Lake City. The exhibit examines Jewish life in Europe before, during and after the Holocaust. Price is now U.S. ambassador to the republics of Mauritius, Seychelles and Comoros. … The Home Depot continued its expansion into Mexico, opening a store in Tijuana. The home improvement giant plans to open two more stores in the country this year. … Simon Property Group now offers its Simon Visa Gift Card through 43 of its malls and will bring the card to all 249 of its properties by the end of 2003. The cards are prepaid gift certificates that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. … IBEX Construction, New York City, has completed the first Nordstrom store in the Miami area. The 200,000-square-foot unit is in The Village of Merrick Park, Coral Gables, Fla. … In response to Internet sites on which negative things are posted about Kmart, the bankrupt discount retailer has created Kmartforever.com, a Web site where people are encouraged to post favorable comments. A recent post included someone’s memories of a recently closed Kmart store.
