TRAILBLAZER TRACH DEAD AT 84

Shopping center pioneer David B. Trach, founder of St. Paul, Minn.-based Trach Properties, died in June. He was 84. Trach was Minnesota’s first ICSC state chairman and also graduated from ICSC’s first shopping center management class with a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) professional designation. Trach served in the Army during World War II and was awarded two Bronze Stars for bravery. After the war he became a builder of custom homes and then established Trach Properties. He was predeceased by his wife, Mulvien, and is survived by his children Ronald Lee, Laurie, Ellen and Elisabeth.
