ICSC’s Web site offers members a wealth of useful data. But some of those statistics aren’t easy to find, as they can be layered under a particular heading. Here are a few places to find statistics under the Research tab at www.icsc.org that you might not be aware of:
• The SCOPE of the Shopping Center Industry in the United States and Canada:
Found under Research/SCOPE, these annually posted charts and tables summarize the number of centers, the local economic impact, and the number of people employed in shopping centers.• NRB Shopping Center Census:
Found under Research/Census, this annual report includes estimates, by state and center size, of the total number of U.S. shopping centers, total square footage of space and the volume of retail sales generated. Data are presented on a regional and a national level.Shopping Centers Today
