YOUNKERS JOINING TWO GGP CENTERS

Saks Inc. will open a Younkers store in Jordan Creek Town Center, West Des Moines, Iowa, a mall under development by General Growth Properties. The $200 million, 2 million-square-foot development is scheduled to open in August. Other anchors planned for Jordan Creek are an 18-screen movie theater, a Dillard’s and a Famous-Barr.

Saks says it will also replace a Jones Store currently in General Growth’s 1.1 million-square-foot Westroads Mall, Omaha, Neb., with a Younkers by year-end. Other anchors at the center include Galyan’s, J.C. Penney and Von Maur.
