ICSC TO MAIL BADGES FOR SPRING CONVENTION
In a further refinement of the Three-in-One format introduced at the 2001 Spring Convention, ICSC will mail badges to registrants prior to the 2002 event, President Michael P. Kercheval announced in September.
The move, a first for ICSC, comes in response to attendees’ wishes to get to the convention even more rapidly, now that the Leasing Mall, Trade Expo and educational sessions occur simultaneously on Monday and Tuesday. (The Trade Expo, as before, will open on Sunday and close on Tuesday. The Leasing Mall will open on Monday and close on Wednesday.)
“There were many positive comments from the members regarding the new format, but obviously we needed to streamline the registration process,” said Marvin Morrison, ICSC senior staff vice president — lines to register on Monday morning this year were unusually long. “Mailing the badges will alleviate some of that pressure.”
Badges will be mailed approximately four weeks before the conference, which is being held May 19-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Once in Las Vegas, attendees with badges will be able to validate them and pick up convention materials at any of four satellite hotels as well as at the Convention Center.
On-site registration and badge pickup will be available at the Convention Center beginning Saturday, May 18, for walk-ins and those attendees who miss the mailing deadline.
