RED Development, Scottsdale, Ariz., named Jeff Teets CFO and partner of retail development. Teets was senior vice president of finance at The Macerich Co.

The Mills Corp. recruited Gregory E. Zimmerman as vice president of real estate and named Jennifer Ciccone and Don Pott vice presidents of property management.

Federal Realty Investment Trust, Rockville, Md., appointed Jon E. Bortz to the board of trustees. Bortz is chairman, CEO and president of LaSalle Hotel Properties, Bethesda, Md.

Watt Genton Associates, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based mixed-use development firm, brought in Jeannie DeFazio as vice president of leasing, sales and marketing.

Muss Development Co., New York City, recruited Fran R. Boris as retail project director.

Joseph A. Schneider joined NewBridge Retail Advisors, an Atlanta-based retail real estate investment brokerage, as an investment specialist.

WP Realty, a Bryn Mawr, Pa.-based real estate investment, development and leasing company, hired James A. Beste as vice president of development and Michael A. Malia as vice president of construction.

Mary Kay Stafford joined James Doran Co. as director of leasing and marketing. The Daniel Island, S.C.-based real estate development and investment firm also hired Matt Grayson as a project manager.

Natalie Allred joined Pan Pacific Retail Properties, San Diego, as general manager of 20 of the REIT’s open-air center properties in Nevada and the East.

Richard Ferst, COO of Urdang Capital Management, Plymouth Meeting, Pa. assumed the additional title of president. Ferst has been COO since he joined the firm in 1998.

Avery Taylor Moore joined San Francisco architecture firm Field Paoli as a principal.

Developers Diversified Realty Corp. appointed John S. Kokinchak as vice president of property management for lifestyle, specialty and enclosed malls. Kokinchak was vice president of property management at Scranton, Pa.-based Prizm Asset Management.

Robert M. Huff joined Washington, D.C.-based Combined Properties as director of East Coast acquisitions. Combined Properties also promoted Gregory Hoxworthy to president of national operations and acquisitions, and Alexis S.C. Iszard to executive vice president.

Hopkins Real Estate Group, Newport Beach, Calif., hired Edward C. Bach as development manager. Bach was director of real estate at GVD Commercial Properties, an Orange, Calif., real estate services firm.

Planned Community Developers, Sugar Land, Texas, recruited Bruce W. Frankel as director of retail leasing and sales for Sugar Land Town Square, its 32-acre mixed-use center currently under development.

Australia-based Westfield Group named Brent Wise general manager of Westfield Chesterfield (Mo.), a regional mall.

Bayer Properties, Birmingham, Ala., promoted Brian Wolfe to project planner. Wolfe adds the title to his current one as development coordinator.

Richard W. Latella was promoted from managing director of New York City-based real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield to senior managing director. Latella has been with Cushman & Wakefield since 1983.

Omaha, Neb.-based development firm Noddle Cos. recruited Mark Ringsdorf as senior property manager. Ringsdorf held the same position at Grubb/Ellis Pacific Realty.

Baltimore-based BAA Maryland brought in Patrick J. Walsh as vice president to oversee the development of a new retail complex at Baltimore/Washington International Airport. Before joining the firm, he was an asset manager at The Rouse Co.
