The ProTalk XLS (model TK-3130), encased in polycarbonate, measures about 4.5 inches, weighs seven ounces and has a four-mile range. DAY-BRITE LIGHTING UNVEILS HBC LIGHTING
Day-Brite Lighting, Tupelo, Miss., has unveiled the HBC series of luminaires to minimize the shadows and glare associated with standard HID high-bay fixtures and provide a more natural light effect. The luminaires, available in 26, 32 and 42 watts, use multiple compact fluorescent lamps, which reduces the “hot spots” and color shifts that are typical of metal halide lights. The lamps are available in combinations of two, four, six or eight; the eight-lamp version uses four ballasts, providing up to four levels of light through power switches controlling individual pairs of lamps.

CLUB CAR OFFERS NEW UTILITY VEHICLE

Venture Lighting International, Solon, Ohio, has introduced the MP 125 W/V/UVS/PS low-wattage metal halide lamp. The 125-watt lamp’s UV Shield reduces ultraviolet light output by as much as 80 percent and reduces the yellowing caused by plastic fixture lenses. A color-rendering index of 65 means that colors are easier to discern. The minidome Super Dynamic II cameras feature day/night operation in a rugged tamper-resistant housing.
