General Growth Properties hired Marie Martorano as marketing manager for Montclair (Calif.) Plaza, a 1.3 million-square-foot super-regional center. Martorano was assistant marketing director for the 1.5 million-square-foot Northridge (Calif.) Fashion Center, and before that, marketing director for the 1 million-square-foot Fallbrook Center, West Hills, Calif. General Growth owns both centers.

The Lerner Co., Omaha, Neb., recruited James S. Prysiazny, CSM, and Dennis Thaemert as director of property management and sales agent, respectively. Prysiazny was director of real estate for strip centers at Dial Realty, an Omaha-based real estate development and management firm. Thaemert owned and operated Barrett-Reed, a designer apparel retailer.

joined Cullinan Properties as president of construction services, a new division of the Peoria, Ill.-based development and acquisitions firm. West was president of CW Development Services, Darien, Ill.


Saks Inc. announced several executive changes in February. Andrew Jennings was named president and chief merchandising officer. He was managing director of the Toronto-based Holt Renfrew Specialty Store Group, a luxury retailer. Saks also promoted Fred Wilson to chairman of the Saks Fifth Avenue Enterprises division, from president. He will retain his post as CEO.

Bayer Properties, Birmingham, Ala., hired Jeffrey M. Pomeroy as vice president and assistant general counsel. He was an attorney at Sirote and Permutt, also in Birmingham.

Kate M. Brannelly joined Chicago-based architectural firm Loebl Schlossman & Hackl as director of marketing. Brannelly was executive vice president of Flansburgh Associates, a Boston-based architectural firm.

Peter Filomena goes over to Reichel Realty, West Palm Beach, Fla., as director of investment sales. Filomena founded the investment sales group at Trammell Crow Co.’s Boca Raton, Fla., office and was its vice president.

and Robert Restrick joined Needham, Mass.-based CWCapital as managing directors of the firm’s new conduit-lending practice. They were senior vice presidents at CII, a conduit-lending unit within Horsham, Pa.-based GMAC Commercial Mortgage.


Marcus & Millichap added broker Carlos Lopez to its Long Beach, Calif., office. Lopez was a broker at Faris Lee Investments, Irvine, Calif., and before that at Sperry Van Ness, Irvine, Calif.

 

Crosland Retail, a private shopping center developer based in Charlotte, N.C., promoted Ryan Preston to director of leasing. He has been a Crosland leasing agent for five years.
