Continental Real Estate promoted Mark Smith from broker to vice president of leasing and development. The Miami-based firm also promoted Jason Reisman from leasing associate to senior associate, and Amanda Mrozek to director of central Florida leasing from senior leasing associate. In addition, Continental hired Sasha Pardy, formerly a marketing analyst at Trammell Crow, as a leasing and marketing associate, and David Alderman joined as a leasing associate, a position he held at Quest Co., an Orlando, Fla.-based retail brokerage.

The Irvine Co., Irvine, Calif., hired Kim Webster and Katherine VanDeusen as leasing directors. Webster owned Carlsbad, Calif.-based KMW Real Estate Services, and VanDeusen was vice president of retail leasing at Madison Marquette Retail Services, Washington, D.C. Irvine also recruited Tamera De Gennaro as a leasing manager. De Gennaro was a leasing representative for The Zaremba Group, a Cleveland-based development firm.

DeBartolo Development, Tampa, Fla., recruited Steve Mordue and Erin Nellis as development managers, and Erik Hector as a development officer. Mordue was a self-employed retail redevelopment consultant, and Nellis was a senior project manager at Cypress Equities, Staubach Retail's New York City-based development and acquisition affiliate. Hector was president of Hector Cos., a Jacksonville, Fla.-based development company.

Financo, a New York City-based investment bank specializing in retail, named William S. Susman president and COO. Susman was head of Merrill Lynch’s retail and consumer products investment banking group.

The Macerich Co. promoted Heather Hoffman to marketing manager of Green Tree Mall, in Clarksville, Ind. Hoffman was assistant marketing director at Chandler (Ariz.) Fashion Center.

Divaris Real Estate, Richmond, Va., hired Jodi M. Dodson as a commercial sales and leasing agent. Dodson was a property manager and leasing agent for Commercial Commonwealth Partners, Richmond.

Ralph L. Godwin joined Urdang Capital Management, Plymouth Meeting, Pa., as senior vice president of acquisitions. He will head the firm’s new Southeast region office in Charlotte, N.C. Godwin owned Centurion Realty Partners, a real estate investment firm in Cachecton, N.Y.

Robert K. Futterman & Associates hired Diana L. Chace as director of the Westchester County, N.Y., and Fairfield, Conn., regions. Chace was retail director for Street-Works, a mixed-use development and consulting firm in White Plains, N.Y.

StreetSense, a Bethesda, Md.-based development firm, recruited Hal A. Vasvari as a principal. Vasvari was executive vice president and COO of Federal Realty Investment Trust, Rockville, Md.
