The Macerich Co. named Garry Butcher, SCMD, vice president of marketing and research. In this post he will oversee MACResearch, a newly created division for market and consumer demographics. Butcher will also continue to direct the company’s intermountain region marketing.

Nancy Mozzachio
Cedar Shopping Centers, a Port Washington, N.Y.-based grocery-anchored center developer, recruited Michael Winters as director of acquisitions. Winters was director of acquisitions for Rosen Associates Management Corp., Jericho, N.Y. The company also hired Nancy Mozzachio as director of leasing. She held the same title at American Continental Properties, a New York City-based real estate investment and development firm.

Fred Collings, SCSM, CLS, joined RED Development as a partner (one of seven) and the executive vice president of leasing. He was a principal of Ekelund-Collings Retail Advisors, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based retail development consulting group.

Jeff Pape
North American Properties promoted Jeff Pape to vice president of development from director of design and construction. Jeff Ary joins the firm as controller, while Joel Mabry comes in as senior development manager and Anne Little as property manager. Ary was an account manager and Mabry was project manager, both at JDN Realty Corp., Atlanta. Little was senior property manager at the Graham Cos., Miami Lakes, Fla.

 

Robert L. Bryan joined Commercial Net Lease Realty as senior vice president of asset management. Bryan was senior vice president and Florida region manager at Jones Lang LaSalle Americas in Chicago.

James Donlon III was named CFO of Kmart Holdings Corp. He was controller of DaimlerChrysler’s Chrysler Group, Auburn Hills, Mich. Kmart Holdings also named John D. Goodman its chief apparel officer. Goodman was a senior vice president for outlet, merchandising, planning and distribution at Kmart.

Colliers Arnold Commercial Real Estate Services has appointed J. Benjamin McLeish a retail specialist in its Tampa, Fla., office. McLeish was a Tampa-based broker for Northbrook, Ill.-based Grubb & Ellis.

Regency Centers, Jacksonville, Fla., named Paul A. Loubet vice president of investments at its Irvine, Calif., office. Loubet was director of real estate for Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif.

Rockwood Realty Associates, a New York City-based real estate investment banking firm, has promoted Daniel L. Sachs to senior managing director and partner from managing director. Before joining the firm, he was a manager in the real estate advisory services group of Coopers & Lybrand.

Anthony J. Ross
Anthony J. Ross, former vice chairman of The Cafaro Co., died Dec. 15. He was with Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro for nearly 40 years, retiring in February 2001. Ross was a hands-on member of ICSC who helped secure speakers at the organization’s functions and spoke at a number of them himself, said Norman W. Peters, a Cafaro senior vice president.
