This report presents ICSC's quantification of the shopping centre industry in Canada. Today, shopping centres represent a significant aspect of both the economic and social fabric of Canada. To help depict the significance of our industry, ICSC has compiled and integrated data from a wide range of government and private sources to provide key estimates of the shopping centre industry in Canada's ten southern provinces. We believe this report provides our members with the most comprehensive information cu rrently available on the shopping centre industry. The methodology used to estimate retail sales in centers and percent of total nonautomotive retail sales has been adjusted for improved accuracy. Figures for all years reported in this volume have been revised. Consequently, some figures differ from those published in previous editions.
