Sr. Project Manager

Job Description

Regency Centers is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager (Development & Construction) to join our team in either our new regional office in Boca Raton, Florida, or our corporate office in Jacksonville, Florida. This individual will oversee and manage the design and construction activities throughout the development and redevelopment process and will have day-to-day, on-site responsibility to ensure construction meets standards and time frames within cost estimates. This individual will be responsible for performing all duties needed to assist Development, Property Management and Leasing in coordinating and executing completed projects and space to all tenants.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the architectural, MEP and civil engineering design teams to maintain information flow, construction document preparation, and the submittal/review schedule.
• Manage the entitlement process for all endeavors to ensure our efforts can be delivered to the market at the appropriate time.
• Manage the contractors and vendors that we deploy on both our operating assets and new development sites in order to achieve on budget and on time delivery to tenants.
• Work within the team to develop cost projections in support of our leasing, redevelopment, and development pursuits.
• Review quarterly reports for various pursuits within the local region to ensure accountability for project budgets and schedules and that actual project costs are within 0 to +5% of budgeted costs.
• Oversee and assist tenants in their efforts to construct and fit-out their spaces.
• Assist with risk management and due diligence for acquisitions.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field from an accredited institution
• 8+ years of construction management experience, to include supervisory experience
• Ability to travel within the region & frequently visit all assigned construction sites
• Ability to work varying & flexible hours including evening hours as necessary to attend city Planning & Zoning commission meetings and City Council meetings
• Knowledge of commercial construction, design, entitlement and site development
• Skill in reviewing documents for conformity to standards of Regency jurisdictions and/or tenants
• Ability to comprehend architectural and engineering drawings and complex legal documents
• Proficiency with personal computers and MS Excel, MS word, and MS Project software
• Skill in analyzing construction costs to meet pro-forma objectives and recommend budgetary adjustments as appropriate
Preferred:

• Experience working for an architectural or engineering firm, construction company or commercial developer
• Retail shopping center experience, ideally including grocery and big box retailers
