ICSC's Global Design and Development Awards Program was established in 1977 to recognize outstanding retail projects that have successfully solved many different problems. The awards honor shopping center owners, development associates, managers, architects and designers who are the very best at what they do, who design and develop projects that can truly be held up as examples of what can be accomplished with a lot of hard work and creativity.

Beginning in 2009, all gold winners of ICSC’s regional design and development award competitions will automatically be eligible to win ICSC’s “Best-of-the-Best” Global Design and Development Award which will recognize the shopping center industry’s most outstanding examples of cutting-edge properties, innovative solutions and creative responses to market trends throughout the world. To be eligible for this competition, you must enter one of ICSC’s regional design and development award programs.
