Mother Nature Affects Sales Pace Yet Again

The ICSC-Goldman Sachs (ICSC-GS) chain store sales index for the week ending February 27 declined by 0.8% on a week-over-week basis, but rose by 0.7% on a year-over-year basis. During the week, a Nor’easter brought 1-4 feet of snow to the Northeast with high winds knocking out electricity in parts of the region. That storm seemingly took a bite out of sales for the week.
