Charles Grossman Graduate Scholarships
Acknowledging that many students delve deeper into their areas of concentration when they begin their graduate studies, the ICSC Foundation offers graduate level scholarships for those studying retail real estate or a related curriculum. The graduate scholarships were created in 2007 to assist and encourage extraordinary students to select retail real estate as their career path. In 2009, the ICSC Foundation renamed its graduate scholarship program the Charles Grossman Graduate Scholarship, after the late Charles Grossman who served as the Foundation’s Chairman from 2006-2007. The recipients of these scholarships will be known as ICSC Foundation Charles Grossman Graduate Scholars.
About the Charles Grossman Graduate Scholarship
Two $10,000 USD scholarships are available to full time graduate students or part time graduate students who are working full time and who are also ICSC members. They must indicate a preference for a career in retail real estate. The Charles Grossman Graduate Scholarship includes a grant for travel expenses to attend RECon to be honored at an awards ceremony. The ICSC Foundation recognizes that there are aspects of the shopping center industry that cannot be learned in the classroom. The opportunity to attend RECon, the largest retail real estate convention in the world, is an invaluable experience that will expose the recipients to networking opportunities, as well as current innovations and changes in the industry. This added benefit gives future industry leaders a chance to prepare for the challenges that are present today and prepares them for the opportunities of tomorrow.
The cost of attending the award ceremony at RECon, including registration, air, hotel and approved expenses, are part of the Charles Grossman Graduate Scholarship and are handled directly through the ICSC Foundation.
