Yes, shopping centers representatives want consumers to spend money. However, these awards are for those centers that went above and beyond what was best for their bottom line. They truly made a difference in the communities they serve because they were so moved and it was the right thing to do.
Whether the issues were global health concerns, the environment, poverty, or human rights, companies or shopping centres demonstrating significant contributions to a social or community issue, charitable foundation, or other global humanitarian causes were eligible for one of the Foundationís humanitarian awards.
