Rules of engagement
We're providing this Community site for you to connect with each other and share your knowledge, thoughts, and opinions. Like any community, the ICSC Community is most useful for all when certain guidelines are followed for online behavior. The guidelines are presented here to help you understand what's expected of all our users and to help keep your personal information safe while engaging with other users.
Posting to ICSC Communities is a privilege, not a right and ICSC retains the right to edit or remove content and remove users should guidelines not be followed.
We aim to keep the Community as a place where you can come together to share thoughts and ideas. Should you have questions, feel free to post them. If another user isn't able to help, ICSC experts are also regularly monitoring and will also try to assist or point you in the right direction.
If you have a question specific to your membership and/or transactions with ICSC, do not post personal member data to the forum. Please contact ICSC at membership@icsc.org or +1 646 728 3800 as we will not discuss personal member data in a public forum.
Protect your privacy
No ICSC staff will ever ask you to post your name, member ID, or any identifying information about you. If someone asks you in a forum or discussion for your member ID, password, or credit card information, DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. Report all violations to ICSC directly.
Most participants within the community are happy to assist to the best of their ability. While many may be able to give great information, please remember that the advice they give is theirs only and you are responsible for deciding whether or not to follow it. If the information you receive sounds wrong, look for additional information or resources or simply don't take the advice.
Be careful not to post personal information within any public forums. Any information posted here may be potentially viewed by anyone.
Guard others privacy as well. Do not post names, addresses, phone numbers, or emails of other individuals in the forums.

You have the ability to hide your email address and photo so that only you and ICSC staff can view them. To change these viewing options, log in to the web site and change your user profile.
Stay on topic
Please stay on topic. The categories and sub categories are there to not only help guide discussion, but to help users to find discussions relevant to their interests. Should posts appear that are irrelevant, or seemingly intended to derail the conversation, they are subject to removal or relocation to the correct forum. Discussions that appear to be co-opted with a flood of posts that are off-topic and mostly promotional in nature are subject to removal and the end-user may be prohibited from further participation.
We welcome embedded non-animated images in the discussion threads. All images must meet community standards, must convey relevant on-topic information and are allowed only in posts. Images should be as small as needed to get the point across without being overbearing. Images that are offensive, irrelevant or violate the Community terms and conditions will be removed and posters of such images may be subject to disciplinary actions including removal of images or account. Posters are responsible for the content of images embedded in their posts whether it is the image intended to be and/or originally posted or not.
Be respectful
Respect the diversity of the Community. Our members come from all walks of life and from all over the world with any number of opinions or beliefs. Before posting anything, we'd encourage you to take a moment to look over your post and contemplate how all members of the community will receive it.
Debates and differences of opinion are expected, but that shouldn't detract from everyone having a positive experience. Please make sure that you are not taking away from another user's experience, and refrain from posting anything illegal, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, harassing, threatening, or invasive of another user's privacy or safety. Your opinions are always welcome, but attacks will not be permitted. Offending posts are subject to removal and users may be suspended for repeated offenses. If you believe you are being harassed or witness to harassment, do not respond or retaliate to the offending post or further the "trolling." Please report the instance with links to the offending posts to the ICSC Manager of New Media at +1 646 728 3800.
Keep it spam free
Users are free to share their opinions, but abuse of this ability is not allowed. Please refrain from posting spam, chain letters, advertising, or any form of unauthorized solicitation. Promotion of events and services not endorsed by ICSC or that compete directly with ICSC are not allowed and at ICSC’s sole discretion, will be removed.
Keep it legal
It is not acceptable to post any content infringing on copyright, trademarks, patents, or property rights of any party or is deemed to be illegal by any local, state, federal, or international law. Misrepresentation of identity, associations, or expertise, links to viruses, malware, or phishing attacks or code that otherwise disrupts, damages, or otherwise limits the functionality of the site will be removed.
