Education
The ICSC lists in-depth training and recognition programs. You may register online for courses in the University of Shopping Centers and our John T. Riordan School for Professional Development. Government Relations
ICSC's legislative agenda on taxation, property rights, the environment and other issues at the federal and state levels are coordinated by ICSC's Government Relations Department in our Washington, DC office.

Strategic Leadership Summit-ICSC members meet with and educate members of Congress and the Administration on the industry and its legislative agenda.

Shopping Center Action Network (SCAN)-ICSC government relations activists who contact members of Congress or state legislators on ICSC's behalf on priority legislative issues.

Divisional Government Relations Committee Chairmen, State Government Relations Committee Chairmen and State Government Relations Committees-monitor issues at the state level and encourage ICSC member involvement in government relations.

Government Relations Report-a newsletter included quarterly in Shopping Centers Today magazine.

ICSC Political Action Committee (PAC)-supports candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives as approved by the Committee on ICSC PAC management.

ICSC Educational Foundation
The general purpose of the Foundation is to promote and support educational programs, institutes, and centers involved in the study of real estate and retail. To that end, the Foundation currently is involved in sponsoring:

ICSC Library
You may look up the online catalog of the ICSC Library. ICSC's Albert Sussman Library is also staffed with professionals who can help direct you to sources of information regarding shopping centers. Members may also visit our Library in person where they may use our fine collection of books and periodicals that specialize in the industry. ICSC Logo
Upon joining ICSC, all new members receive a notice on the use of the ICSC logo. This notice contains acceptable designs and a statement of rules on the use of the logo. You may download the ICSC logo in various formats from ICSC.org. To receive the current policy on acceptable usage of the ICSC logo, call +1 646 728 3509 or see the logo policy on ICSC.org.

The critical provisions in the policy are the statements that the ICSC identification cannot be used in a context which creates the inference that ICSC approves of, endorses or recommends the company, product or service, and that the ICSC identification cannot be used in any advertisement or literature containing a discriminatory element.

Any misuse of the ICSC identification should be called to the attention of the ICSC President at +1 646 728 3810 or General Counsel at +1 646 728 3499.

ICSC Volunteer Leadership
Virtually all of ICSC's activities are shaped by its member volunteers and supported by ICSC's professional staff.

Members' involvement generally structured around ICSC's 5 geographical divisions in North America: the Canadian, Central, Eastern, Southern and Western Divisions. Each division has its own group of ICSC volunteer officials, headed up by the Division Vice President (who is also an ICSC Trustee), as well as the divisional officers in Government Relations, Alliance Operations, Public Relations & Community Services, and Retail.

Within each division, a set of State/Provincial Officials oversees volunteer activity in their region. These are the State/Provincial Retail, Alliance Operations and Government Relations Committee Chair, all of whom report to the State/Provincial Director.

International Programs
With members throughout the world, ICSC is truly a global association. In order to extend ICSC services to its global membership, we coordinate overseas meetings, seminars and symposia as well as arrange "Educational Study Tours" of shopping centers. Leasing Opportunities
This is a database of center space available for lease. This section also provides a database of centers for sale and a listing of retailers looking for space. The listings are free to members. You may search the lists by multiple criteria. To place a free listing, go to the Leasing Opportunities section of the Web site. There you will see a button called "Add." Click on this button and you will see a simple form that you can fill out on line. Fill out and submit the form and your done. Your center will appear in the ICSC leasing database and in our What's New section of the site.

Legal Information
ICSC provides information to members on forced public access, lease clauses, environmental issues, and other regulatory and judicial matters. On behalf of its members, ICSC files amicus curiae briefs on significant issues, as approved by the Law Committee. ICSC publishes the quarterly Legal Update journal on new laws, regulations and court decisions affecting the shopping center industry. Library
ICSC's library is the finest in the shopping center industry, containing information from surveys, periodicals, reference texts and computerized data bases. Members can avail themselves of library services for most areas of shopping center or retailing activity. You may view the card catalog on-line. Meetings
ICSC sponsors many conferences, conventions, meetings and idea exchanges that cover many important topics and often include trade expositions.

Conferences We hold conferences throughout the world covering such topics as Shopping Center Law; Design, Construction and Architecture; Open-Air Centers; Capital Finance; Specialty Retailing; Research and Security.
Conventions-ICSC sponsors three conventions each year: Spring Convention, Fall Convention, and Canadian Convention. These are our flagship meetings.
Deal Making-ICSC provides regional and state-level forums for leasing and deal making. These run concurrently with many of our conferences, conventions and idea exchanges.
Idea Exchanges- More than 35 Idea Exchanges and Regional Conferences are held across the North American continent each year. All include educational sessions and reports on the state of the industry. Many include deal-making sessions.
Local Meetings-The fastest-growing area of program activity at ICSC is in local meetings, which require little travel and low registration fees. More than 225 meetings are scheduled in the U.S. and Canada each year.
Next Generation-ICSC's educational, networking and mentoring program is designed for retail real estate professionals seeking to develop their careers and build their relationships in the shopping center industry.
Trade Expositions-ICSC trade expositions bring suppliers of goods and services in direct contact with industry executives at many of our meetings.

Member List
ICSC makes available, under specific conditions, the names and addresses of its members in electronic format for one time rental use only. A list of these conditions and rental fees can be secured by calling +1 646 728 3509. They are NOT available through ICSC.org. Members are asked annually on their dues invoice whether they wish to have their names removed from mailing lists that can be rented from ICSC.

Membership Directory
The ICSC Membership Directory lists all members in three indices by name, company and location. The Membership Directory is sent to Official Members as a direct benefit of company membership. The Membership Directory may also be purchased, while quantities last, by other ICSC members. This directory is also available on ICSC.org and is searchable by name, company, location, business type, etc. We like to think of it as the industry's biggest Rolodex.

Political Action Committee
ICSC's Political Action Committee (PAC) supports candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives as approved by a Subcommittee on Disbursements. ICSC's PAC works to build the political clout that our industry needs with members of Congress to communicate effectively our concerns and interests. ICSC's PAC may only solicit regular (voting) noncorporate members of ICSC and executive and administrative personnel and stockholders of those corporate ICSC members who provide prior approval for these solicitations.

Products and Services
There are several ways that members can list and search member sites through ICSC.org. Through the Products and Services section of our site members can list services their company is offering the industry. Listings in the Products and Services directory are free. Anyone can search the database. Members can also list their company's Web link in the Industry Links section of the ICSC Web site. In addition, all member sites can be searched simultaneously at icsc.org/search. Individual sites can be searched as well. Professional Accreditation
ICSC provides industry executives with the opportunity to earn professional accreditation. The CSM (Certified Shopping Center Manager), CMD (Certified Marketing Director) and CLS (Certified Leasing Specialist) designations are granted to individuals who have four years of relevant industry experience and who have passed a day-long written examination administered for ICSC by the Educational Testing Service. Professional Development
Our changing industry requires the most up-to-date information and training that are available from the most experienced and notable leaders of the shopping center industry. Responding to those needs, ICSC offers many new and some established education programs for relatively little cost that will pay big dividends for you, your employer and your staff.

School for Professional Development-ICSC's School for Professional Development provides professional development opportunities in three areas: Leasing and Advanced Leasing, Management I and II, Marketing I and II.

University of Shopping Centers-The University of Shopping Centers is an annual event that offers the opportunity to either enhance your expertise in your present area of interest, or to delve into new ones. edistance Learning-learn at home, at work or on the road—anywhere you can access the Internet. ICSC's edistance learning program is nine units of management training delivered via the web in a nine month course. Nine ICSC textbooks accompany your registration for this innovative self-study curriculum that also includes extensive webliographies, document sharing capabilities and streaming video.

Public Relations
ICSC improves the image of the shopping center industry by communicating and interpreting industry statistics, trends, and legislative concerns to the national and local media, and provides guidance to Members on dealing with the media.

Publications
ICSC publications cover virtually every aspect of shopping center activity, including law, leasing, management/operations, architecture, marketing and retailing, with new titles in development all the time. ICSC members may order publications at a special discount. Discounts are also available when ordering quantities of 20 or more of a title. You can order books directly on-line.

Research
ICSC's Research section contains a wealth of information, including statistics and analysis about the shopping center industry. Most of these statistical studies result from specialized original research by ICSC. Most research publications are available in electronic format only, including flagship publications such as the Research Review and Retail Perspective.
