Research and Publications
Information today takes many forms and the Research Department uses various types of media, including videos, telephone conferences, physical and virtual meetings as well as print and electronic publications to develop our collection and disseminate information. The department’s flagship publication is its Retail Property Insights, which publishes articles about the global industry. The Department’s activities and services include an eLibrary for members, an online statistical database called eData, a video learning center—the Research-on-Demand series, an industry photo library—ICSC's PhotoCenter, a Global Shopping Center Directory, and a research mentor program. The Researcher is circulated monthly to all members to keep them informed about the ongoing reports and activities of the Research Department.

ICSC's monthly Shopping Centers Today business magazine is a respected and dependable publication that covers the entire scope of the industry, including development, retailing, marketing, management, financing, leasing, architecture and government relations. Value Retail News is an equally comprehensive monthly publication that covers the world of outlet shopping centers. Both provide the latest news trends, interviews and analysis. ICSC also provides an online pipeline to industry-related news through ICSC SmartBrief, EuroBrief, AsiaBrief and the SCT Newswire.
