Turkish Council of Shopping Centers & Retailers (TCSCR)

TCSCR can be found on the web at www.ampd.org.

Mission: Founded in 1994, TCSCR serves to highlight and improve the role of shopping centers, food retailers, chain stores and related sectors in the economy and society. The mission is to institutionalize and modernize the merchant identity of retailing.

The association develops policies and strategies to imrpve the conditions of the sector in general. The objective is to pave the way for the retailing to become one of the first 5 leading sectors in Turkey. Association alse serves to lead the sector towards full registration and transparency.


The goals are:

  • To upgrade the quality of service
  • To represent the sector at an international level
  • To increase foreign investment in the retailing sector in Turkey

OBJECTIVE:

  • Enabling the organized and modern retailing to develop and grow by producing imformative and guiding data and policies on issues regarding the whole retail sector,
  • Increasing the share of the registered and regulated, organized and modern retail in the country’s economy,
  • Elevating the service quality to international standards,
  • Completing the transition to registered, regulated and ethic system through the speed the sector will gain by supporting high quality production and employment,
  • Encouraging the establishment and development of regular and healthy relations between the shopping center owners, organized retailers, consumers and public administrators
  • Making sure that the shopping centers become a part of the community and contribute to healthy environmental and urban development,
  • Striving to make sure that shopping centers are built and operated in certain standards throughout the country,
  • Helping to represent the sector throughout the world and to increase the investment potential in Turkey by cooperating with international organizations,
  • Sharing information, ideas and experience with ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), NRF (National Retail Federation), FAPRA (Federation of Asian- Pasific Retailers Association), EuroCommerce and other international organizations which represent the sector
  • Strenghtening the expertise and leadership position of its members in the fields of developing and managing retail shopping centers,
  • In line with the developments in consumer rights, conducting studies on behalf of the consumers and the sector and cooperating with consumer associations
  • Establishing a strong communication between the sectoral service providers and the solution partners,
