The Austrian Council of Shopping Centers (A.C.S.C.) was founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization to represent and promote the shopping center industry in Austria. It also serves as a discussion forum for members, provides information through organized meetings with educational programs, offers world-wide shopping center study tours, does legislative lobbying and cooperates with Standort + Markt Consultants in publishing Austria's annual Shopping Center Directory.

ACSC's members represents more than 80% of Austria's almost 120 shopping centers and retail parks whose GLA is over 4,000m2.. It also serves as a kind of "bridge" between the emerging shopping center industries of neighboring reform countries and ICSC.
